ReplyDeleteI just wanted to tell you two that I am thankful to the Lord for blessing me to be a member of EDC. I went through some really tough times before I started to attend. God led me to EDC in the midst of it all. It made it sooo much easier to get through and things started to turn around quickly. I became freer to praise God, and not care what people around me thought, finally. I went from having a job that I only worked two days a week, to having two jobs that I worked 7 days a week. God has been blessing me everyday and I know it is a true blessing to be a member of EDC. Thank you Pastor and Elder Johnson for being so honest and letting God lead you two because my life has changed tremendously since Jan 2008 when I joined EDC

ReplyDeleteI truly want you to know the impact you have had on my life. Before I came to EDC I had been out of church for quite sometime. The first Sunday I came to EDC I knew it was were God wanted me to be. I have grown in Christ so much since joining. Your words of encouragement always help me through the day to day struggles. I am truly blessed and honored to belong to such a great church. You are so real and believe in the word you are teaching. May God continue to bless you and EDC.

I am inspired to be a better mother ,a better wife, a better daughter, but must of all a believer in Christ because of Pastor J and D. They are great examples of taking God at his word. I am truly blessed and a better person because of the things I have learned from them in Bible Class , Women’s Ministry, and in Worship. I can not imagine where I would be if there was no EDC to illuminate who God is and who God is calling me to be. EDC is an awesome place to learn and grow. I can not wait to see what is next!!

I have been in church all my life! Since I have been under the leadership of Pastor Jerel and Pastor DeShawn Johnson I have learned that the best way to know about the Trinity is to study the word. Sunday morning is great but Bible Study, WOW, there's nothing like it. I go when I am not working and if working I'm trying to leave early so I can get to study. I hate when things happen and I can't get to Bible Study. You have heard about the seven wonders of the world. There's a mistake, it's really eight and the number is EDC Women's Ministry. Pastor DeShawn is awesome. She breaks it down so you can understand it. The things that we do in Bible Study, our Pastors break down to everyday life. This young couple lets you know that it's ok to have issues, we work on the issues together. With the things that I am learning now, I am beginning to trust God more. It is a blessing to be a part of this dynamite fellowship. You really have to be at EDC to really understand what I am trying to say. Remember I said I have been in church all my life, but now I can say that church is in me. Glory Hallelujah!!!!

ReplyDeleteI want to take this opportunity to share with you and the EDC family just how much we love our new church home. I’ve personally been in Church for twenty years, in ministry for ten and with the Lord for as long as I can remember. And during this time I’ve attended Sunday school, Prayer Service and Bible Class on a regular basis. I have sat at the feet of great preachers and teachers who had the call from God and the anointing on their lives, and through these ministries I’ve been blessed.
But never have our eyes been so opened, our hearts pricked, our spirit enlightened, our passion been renewed, and our relationship with God strengthened the way that it has since we’ve been at EDC. Through the anointed gift of teaching and preaching that operates in this ministry, lives are being transformed, marriages are being restored, families are being rebuilt and Christians are being empowered to live as God intended. My Wife and I are excited about the future of EDC and the part that God wants us to play now and in the future. We were drawn in by the love and embraced by His Spirit, and therefore we are making a commitment to building the kingdom together.
Thank you again Pastor J & D, for being obedient to the spirit of God. You are truly a blessing.

We just wanted to drop a line to let everyone who visits this site know how awesome EDC has been to us. In many ways we were quite broken when we came to the ministry a year ago come September 28, 2009. Through the anointed teaching and the great love of the EDC saints our lives have been transformed. Our lifestyle of worship has since elevated to another level. Pastors Jerel and Deshawn are some of the most awesome and REAL folks we have ever sat under. WE BLESS GOD FOR GIVING US THE GIFT OF EMPOWERING DISCIPLES CHURCH!!!

The way that GOD is shaping life in us is hard to condense to a blog, but in condensed form…The teachings on Christian living is fresh and relevant for our generation. Topics are discussed in Christian education classes that focus on letting you know who GOD is and putting men and women boy/girl into a right relationship with GOD.
The Pastors’ Jerel J. Johnson and DeShawn Johnson are true Shepard’s from GOD whom with love guides you out of all those dark areas with the truth of the word cutting through and breaking down what we were taught to believe about GOD, filling you up with truth, so you can be illuminated to make a decision to join in the Kingdom of GOD, empowered with right thinking, right conduct,and righteous living in this present day world.
Now as Roman’s 8:1 states” There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus" that this is a continuous process that is not given to the swift or the strong but to the one that endures to the end.

ReplyDeleteAgain I just wanted to say thank you for the message you gave on today at Ronald Colloway's funeral service. Like myself, you are a no non sense preacher. Listening to you preach was like looking at myself. I pray the blessings of God upon you that you will continue to empower a generation, and meet the wholistic needs of mankind. You have a friend.
God has truly smiled on the Dandridge family by blessing us with such a loving church family. There is never a need unmet; whether with a prayer or that fried chicken that keeps us going through the day lol. Our shepards ensure our success as a young married couple by providing the unadultared truth. We thank you and love your teachings. We are also thankful that our son will learn and grow under your leadership. We both love you.

ReplyDeleteJust wanna say I Love You and I truly thank God for placing you in my life!!! Both of you have shown me & Reese(my son) more love in the short time we've known each other than ANY family member & so called friend I've ever had!!! If I had to sum you up in one word it would be "REAL!" You tell the TRUTH & it sets us all free! You never act "holier than thou" & I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart! I'm so grateful God led me to EDC...its my home & I'm NEVER leaving! You couldn't get rid of me if you tried(lol)!! The Word says: "with love and kindness have I drawn thee" I'm like a moth to the flame of righteousness that you both have set before your flock. I've grown so very much & have more growing to do.And with your guidance & love I know I'll be what God is truly calling me to be.

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know how much I love you. I feel sooo blessed to have leaders like you. You teach by example and that is a rarity in this day and age we're living in.
Since I've been under your leadership, I now know God for who He is, and I can praise Him for who He is. I have come a long way from where I was, and I still have a long way to go, but I know with your continued direction, I will be what God wants me to be.
You two have touched so many lives with your love and caring ways(including my husband). Pastors I just want to tell you guys to KEEP ON KEEPING IT REAL!!!!!
